Placenta encapsulation is the ancient chinese practice of ingesting the placenta after it has been made into pills.  Luxe Doula Services encapsulates the placenta by first dehydrating the placenta in a food grade dehydrator, grinding the placenta into a fine powder and encapsulating the powder into a capsule pill for ingesting. 

 

For those who choose to encapsulate their placenta, the encapsulation process occurs immediately (24-72 hrs) after birth and is promptly delivered back to the postpartum mama who can start to ingest their placenta within a few days.
